Agile is one of the most versatile themes that can serve multiple needs – portfolio sites, app or product launch/showcase sites, general corporate sites for sure. The site can be single page or multi-page depending on how the user wants to configure it. Agile theme is actually is a summation of several multi-page portfolio and corporate themes, of well known single-page app showcase theme that we have built in the past year.
Agile is a beauty of a different kind with clean typography and design – result of our study of countless agency/portfolio sites, corporates and of course those that showcase mobile apps. Yet we have done our best to not complicate things and keep things simple for our users by innovating within the framework of what the users here are familiar with. Seven custom post types for portfolio, page sections, team, testimonials, gallery, pricing table, sliders slides most with intuitive backend GUIs that help you get started quickly, countless shortcodes that hide the complexity for the users, a dozen custom templates including ones for portfolio/gallery with good shortcode support to help showcase the portfolio pretty much anywhere you want, revolution slider that lets you build a slider of your imagination, sample data that replicates the demo preview site that stays sane in the WP visual editor. This is based on our experience here in ThemeForest and kind of feedback and support queries we received for our earlier themes.
Some examples of shortcodes include the ones for creating parallax sections, video header, smartphone sliders (iPhone, S4, HTC one), portfolio/gallery shortcodes, video background sections(in update this week) among 50+ others that you are probably familiar already. When building a single page site, it is often frustrating to think about the whole at once and plan beforehand the sections, their content, order of occurence etc. Agile has page section custom post type which lets you take the whole site in increments by helping to compose the single page, one page section at a time each with its own independent post edit area just like a regular post/page. The single page sections can be created, removed, added or modified or sorted quickly to compose the exact one page of your imagination. In fact, we ourselves found this feature incredibly useful for building the demo site with three large home pages of single page types. The designer developer interaction was lot smoother too.
While these page sections are not meant to exist on their own and are not to be exposed directly to public or search engines, the theme lets you preview them independently and a logged in user will see them clearly linked for easy editing when a single page made of these sections is viewed on the frontend. To meet the needs of multiple one pages, the theme lets you set separate WP menus for each of these single pages, menus with smooth scrolling internal links to the sections within the page. There is so much we can say here that I will let you see some of these capabilities yourself in the demo preview site.
